"Nobu Arrives in Tokyo! Nana's Song" (ノブ上京!ナナの歌 Nobu jōkyō! NANA no uta) is the ninth episode of the Nana anime.

Plot[]

Nana O. and Nana K. get settled into their new apartment. They still don't have gas in the morning, so they can't cook breakfast and they don't have any food at home. They decided to walk and look for where they can buy something for breakfast nearby. Nana K. quickly finds bakery by aroma of the fresh baked bread. Nana K.'s noisiness, liveliness, friendliness and good nose all together more and more remind Nana O. a dog, or rather a puppy.

During the day, Hachi works at her new job at a vintage furniture and clothing store for the owner, Keiichi Mizukoshi. Junko visits Hachi at work. They go together at the Jackson Hole restaurant for lunch. She says that now she understands how Hachi found the work so fast, since he employer is a young guy, and asks her to not to do anything that will make Shoji worry.

At night, Nobu comes by to deliver Nana O.'s packeges. He asks to stay for a night, because he run away from home and seriously determined to become a pro musician together with Nana. While Nana try to persuade him to go home, Yasu calls Nobu. Nana grabs the phone, so he asks her if she heard his new composition. She starts to listen the type and soon asks Nobu to accompany her on guitar, because she has an urge to sing. Hachi witnesses a first performance by Nana and Nobu in their apartment, while Yasu delightedly listens it by cellphone.
