The grandmother of Shoji Endo, whom he lived with until he moved to Tokyo. She lived far from the first art school that Shoji attended. Shoji would take a train back-and-forth from his grandmother's home to school. According to Kyosuke Takakura, she would sing Shoji to sleep.[1]
